San Francisco AIA exhibit seminar series-April 2012
In conjunction with the Presenting Architecture Exhibition, the American Institute of Architects, San Francisco Chapter and the Center for Architecture + Design is also hosting Presenting Architecture’s first seminar series. This series will give attendees a great insight to the world of how architecture gets presented from some of the top professionals in the Bay area.

Thomas W Schaller – The Architecture of Light – Workshops
Tom Schaller has long been considered one of the foremost architectural artists in the world. In the field, he has won every major award for his artwork – including being a two-time recipient of theHugh Ferriss Memorial Prize. He has authored two books ; the best-selling, and AIA award of merit winner, Architecture in Watercolor, and The Art of Architectural Drawing. He is increasingly in demand internationally to conduct his watercolor workshop series, “The Architecture of Light”. His artwork is collected and exhibited around the world.
Watercolor Workshops with Michael Reardon AWS, NWS
Michael Reardon is an award-winning watercolorist based in Oakland, California. An avid traveller, he is inspired to create by landscapes and architecture from around the world. Using his extensive background in architecture and illustration he composes convincing and evocative watercolors, both in plein air and studio painting. He is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Watercolor West, and the California Watercolor Association. He is also an Artist member of the California Art Club.
Dean Birinyi, ASMP-Photography for Interior Designers
Dean J. Birinyi, architectural photographer, will share his knowledge, experience, ideas and theories gained during twenty years of practicing his art. Dean’s well organized seminar, “Photography for Interior Designers”, is presented in an easy to understand manner with instructive examples of his work to demonstrate how to achieve great architectural photgraphs.
BeLoose Graphic Workshops – ongoing
Mr. Lin is the author of “Drawing and Designing with Confidence, A Step-by-Step Guide” and “Architectural Rendering Techniques , a Color Reference.”. Mike’s fourth book titled “Architectural Illustrations” will be soon on the market shortly. He currently teaches very popular graphic workshops that are well received and respected by the design communities. The graphic workshops include two-day coast to coast for general public, and two-day on site workshops requested by many firms, universities and organizations throughout the world.
