Great presentation is everything

Portrait of Robert Becker, architectural rendering artist

Robert Becker has been trusted on 2000+ projects producing more than 10,000 images to help architects, developers and planners win approvals and close projects. Taking the concept out of your head and getting it into a compelling presentation is what I do, turning drawings into images, animations and immersive experiences that audiences understand at a glance. Working from less than a cocktail napkin sketch through detailed construction documents, I will bring your project to life for approvals. From sheds to cities, inside and out.

My early career included board service with the American Society of Architectural Illustrators. I was on staff from 1989–1994 at Schaller Architectural Illustration, as well as freelancing on my own watercolor work and collaborating with painters Douglas Jamieson, James Akers and Dick Sneary.

My mediums span hand-painted watercolor, photorealistic digital renderings, fly-through animation, AR/VR and AI imagery. I’m also a watercolor artist who paints wherever I happen to be. My art has appeared in more than twenty additional art and architecture exhibitions. Watercolors have been published in Big Book of Contemporary Illustration (Batsford, 2009), Orion Magazine (2005), In Praise of Sailing (Laughing Elephant Press, 2004), Artists’ Impressions in Architectural Design (Spon Press, 2002), and A Gallery of Maritime Art (Rockport Publishers, 1998).

Beyond my own work, I created and run Presenting Architecture — a comprehensive directory and community of architectural presentation artists worldwide: communicators, scale-model makers, photographers and visualization artists. If I can’t do it, I know who can.
